BurButler Instructions 2014-11-25T16:15:51+00:00

Instructions for use of the BurButler dental bur blocks as part of our dental bur management system, designed to make your dental practice more organised and efficient. Uniquely, the BurButler holds any bur, of any diameter, in any order your require whether friction grip or latch grip or lab grip to suit your clinical requirements.

We recommend a particular colour for a particular surgery, or procedure and the labelling area can be marked with further details (waterproof CD marker/Sharpie) to differentiate each BurButler further. There are no moving parts and the nature of the silicon will resist normal clinical repeated wear and function for many years.

In Clinical Use

We recommend that burs once removed from the BurButler should be placed in the inverted lid of the BurButler. This way any burs used during the procedure can be identified for special attention. The user should at all times wear gloves when handling dental burs.

After Clinical Use

Inspect each bur individually before re-inserting it into the BurButler to ensure any gross debris removal.

Ultrasonic Cleaning

Prepare a fresh pH neutral cleaning solution following the manufacturers instructions for correct concentration, exposure time, water temperature and quality. Place the BurButler in a sonic unit ensuring the device is completely submerged for at least 15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly for 1 minute. Visually inspect to confirm removal of any gross debris.

There are no moving parts or hinges to deteriorate with the BurButler. There are no metal parts to rust.

Washer Disinfection

We recommend that the lids are washed separate to the block at this stage. Do not invert the lids to allow drainage. Once the cycle has been completed the lids can be placed onto the BurButler bases.

The base and lid should be bagged in sterilisation pouch prior to autoclaving. Follow the autoclave manufacturer instructions as recommended to achieve sterilisation temperature 134C (273F) for 5 mins or 121C (249F) for 20 mins.

The pouch should then be stored (and labelled appropriately as required by some authorities).

Silicon is quite stain resistant. If a metal bur corrodes and marks the surface this will wash off with a soft cloth and ultrasonic cleaning. Do not insert rusting burs and this will not occur.

60 Hole BurButler

The 60 hole unit can be used as a visual storage unit for all the burs in the practice. This way you can easily see what is in stock and what needs to be re-ordered. It can also be cut into smaller portions for inclusion in surgical trays.

Use a sharp knife and simply apply pressure along the chosen dividing lines to cut into the sized strips that you require. (similar to cutting a cheese block).[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_cta_button2 style=”rounded” txt_align=”left” title=”BACK TO THE BURBUTLER” btn_style=”square” color=”black” size=”md” position=”left” link=”url:http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dentalorganiser.com%2Fburbutler-product%2F|title:BurButler|”][/vc_cta_button2][/vc_column][/vc_row]
